What could you actually make with Microgreens?

Microgreens seem to be making a bigger and bigger hit on the market around the world. This isn’t shocking at all. For the benefits that you get out of them it is honestly absurd to think that someone would pass on the opportunity to enhance their health and vitality.

A number of benefits have been obtained from microgreens, for starts their sheer beauty. These little plants are amazingly beautiful and make meals a lot more attractive. An article published by a Dan Small, a neuroscientist based at Yale’s school of Medicine points out the direct link between foods appearance and taste. She went as far as saying that taste isn’t the main mechanism through which we identify particular foods. It is mind blowing to know that the visual appearance of the food we consume is as, or if not, more important than the taste of the food. Microgreens may be beautiful but their name and reputation isn’t held up by basic looks. It is their nutritional excellence and unique flavors that really put them on the map. This is so much so that a number of higher end restaurants use them as a garnish to their meals and salads to give their dishes a dash of excellence.

With all this mambo-jumbo aside you are probably asking yourself, ‘what is the benefit of putting a strange looking plant into my dishes; they could be weeds for all I care’.

  1. They are really high in nutrients and minerals such as magnesium, potassium, zinc, and copper which function to promote heart health and your body’s immune system.
