I have been an organic gardener most of my time here in the country. This year we are growing towards selling our produce at a stand on the road out front. DS for the first time has fallen in love with gardening at 35. That really helps this 2 time cancer survivor get the work done.
Latest greatest meal cooked at home:
BBQd ribs with homegrown yellow crookneck squash, carrots and onions in a medley, and potato salad.
Currently listening to:
News Talk Radio
My latest DIY project:
Trying to build a grow/hoop house over the old chicken coop.
How did you find HOMEGROWN.org?
A friend @ email@example.com....though I have been here before.
Howdy, Gloria! Welcome to HOMEGROWN! My name is Jennifer, and I'm the flock tender here (site updater and tweaker, feeder and waterer of content). I’m also a fellow Texan. My family comes from Weatherford, not too far to the northwest of you.
Your farmstand efforts sound pretty incredible—and a very hearty congratulations for staying healthy and positive. Sounds like you could teach the whole HOMEGROWN community a thing or two. We’ll probably end up pestering you to share your skills and knowledge, but in the meantime, don’t be bashful about posting photos of your organic gardening in our photo album Hey, I Grew That! And we’d love it if you wanted to share stories and photos of or your Texas cooking—or anything, really—in The Stew, our member blog.
You can always find the latest additions to the site at the very top of the homepage, and if you’ve got questions, don't hesitate to leave a comment on my profile page or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I’m so glad you found us and hope you feel right at home!
