Farm To Kitchen - Blue Corn Cinnamon Rolls shot with Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100
Shot exclusively on a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100
Im experimenting with the Sony RX100 in preparation for the transition over to the Sony NEX-FS700. As a filmmaker it seems that technology moves so fast that if you don't keep up on it, its like one day you wake up in Sleepy Hollow. The experiment is with the codec AVCHD which I can no longer edit on with my Desktop G5 PPC and Final Cut 3. So Im using a trial of Adobe Premiere CS6. Sorry Apple but not sure Im going to go back to either of your systems - software or hardware. Premiere does what makes sense. So my final thoughts are that the Sony RX100 is a superb little backup B-footage camera that will be able to capture secondary video/stills that will work well with the Sony NEX-FS700. So for all you videobloggers out there if you want a great little video camera, the Sony RX100 is perfect. I was also impressed by the audio capture of this device I recorded some secondary audio on a audio recorder and found that the RX100 captures ok audio.

The second part of the experiment was influenced by Robert Rodríguez's 10 minute film school in which he teaches a class on cooking. I was so impressed by this so many years ago that I wanted to one day do my own film cooking class. Instead of just doing a class in the kitchen I thought why not show something a bit deeper. There are movements taking place all over the world surrounding Farm to Kitchen or Farm to Table along with these where does your food come from are the movements of Skillshare and Reskilling or DIY - do it yourself. What we are finding is that FoodCraft and ArtCraft and the art of learning to do things yourself are coming back into perspective as the world rapidly changes. My aim is to continue to create unique short films on these movements in the hopes that we can effect change in the world.

Beautifully shot! I grew up near Putney and that footage is too cool! Thank you so much for sharing this! Please keep sharing these as you produce them.
