Lisa, Meal sounds good. Why don't you grow your own?  Get a couple of 5 gal food safe containers from local pizza or Asian  restaurants, drill a few drain holes in the bottom of the bucket, fill about half full of potting mix, and plant some seeding's from your local farmers market or box store (Lowes, Home Depot, local hardware stores, etc.).  You could restart garlic inside on a window shelf.. Take a look at the gardening container101s here on the web site. Or take some seeds from the plants you buy and start them. Do a search on Pinterest for balcony/apartment gardening. You need very little space.
