Celebrate the culture of agriculture & share skills (Growing! Cooking! Eating!)

There are so few of us,

we are different then everyone else.

We are our future,

without us here we will be in trouble.

Almost everyone treats us differently,

only few understand us.

But that doesn’t stop us;

this is our passion,

our mission,

our duty.

We are the youth that are in Agriculture today,

the people who are teaching our generation and generations to come

about the importance of agriculture.

We are the future of our local food that is grown in AMERICA.

I know exactly how you feel. We get very little regonision, respect, or understood for what we do. I am currently in High School in an urban town. You should hear what some people say or what there reactions are to things. we are in a serious crisis in America with over 50% of our farmers over the age of 55 and very few getting into. We are feced with so many things. Just some of the comments, reactions, and looks from people is enough to push people away. we are in a crisis and not many people but us farmers see it!

Well wait till your working in the corp world....try to explain " I won't be in today I have a market to go to." Or " Emergency repairs to the hen house".... Some people just don't get it.
