Celebrate “culture” in agriculture & share skills like growing, cooking, canning

Hello, new here and my first blog post. I can't figure out how to put pictures here, or maybe I can't. But in any event, I just posted a picture on our farm's blog site. We harvested our pine from about 10 acres of our land and we hired someone to come in and mill it. I've taken a picture of some of the wood. If you are interested, please go over and check it out at http://stillseekingfarm.wordpress.com

Ooh, keep us updated when the build starts. I am still living vicariously.

Michelle: The wood looks gorgeous—and what a good use you've got planned for it. So, the sawmill came to you? Can I ask how long it took to process the amount of wood in the photo? (And to add a photo to a blog post: While you're writing or editing the post, there's a row of tiny icons that shows up above the box where you type or paste your post. Click the second icon from the left, and then upload the image. I'm pasting a screen shot below that shows which icon you want, but give me a yell if you have questions!)

I just checked out your blog, and wiw that mobile sawmill is cool! We have a bunch of mature pines on our place and I had wondered about doing something similar. I would love to use the wood in some way, the connection to local would mean a lot. When do you intend to start building?
