It's happening over at UpCountry Living. I am ordering a slew of seeds from Seed Savers Exchange, Johnny's Selected Seeds and Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds.
The list of seeds I'm ordering is viewable at: http://upcountry-living.com/blog/2013/2/4/seed-order-2013-a-for-amb...

Comment by Liz Funk on February 11, 2013 at 9:05pm I did come across this page. I don't know the credibility but Johnny's is on there as well as the company I use, Gourmet Seed International. http://www.councilforresponsiblegenetics.org/viewpage.aspx?pageid=261
I quickly scanned but am heading back to fully read the blog post you linked to. It's so darn hard to know where, ultimately, your product is coming from. Frustrating!
Comment by Jenna Beaulieu on February 11, 2013 at 8:34pm Hi Carrie,
I don't believe that Johnny's is 100% GMO free. I base that assumption off of this recent blog post from Northwest Edible Life that I found particularly interesting. http://www.nwedible.com/2012/12/a-brief-history-of-monsanto-and-see...
I take the time when making choices to find out what each strains' specific 'features' are, in hopes that I can keep GMOs out of my own garden.
Comment by Carrie Seal-Stahl on February 11, 2013 at 12:47am Nice selection! Is Johnny's GMO free?
We ordered all our food/herb seeds from Baker Creek. I've got my seed starting materials and mini-greenhouse ready to go :)
