A light Cheese Cake style treat for the Cheese Cake lover in you
Step 1
2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1.5 Cup Quick Oats (uncooked)
3/4 Cup Packed Light Brown Sugar
1 Cup (2 sticks) Butter, Softened-I use unsalted sweet cream buttter
Step 2
1-8oz Package Cream Cheese-Softened
1-14oz Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
1/4 Cup Lemon Juice
1tsp Vanilla Extract (we make our own-ask us how)
Step 3
1tbsp Light Brown Sugar
2tbsp Corn Starch
1-16oz Can Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce (we make our own-ask us how)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13×9 glass pan and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients for Step 1. Mix until crumbly. Reserve 1.5 Cups of crumb mixture for topping. Press remaining into bottom of prepared pan and bake for 15 minutes.
In bowl, mix cream cheese until light and fluffy. Mix in remaining ingredients for Step 2 until smooth and pour over cooled crust.
In small bowl, combine Step 3 ingredients and spoon over cream cheese mixture.
Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture on top. Bake for 40 minutes. Let cool and chill before cutting
Yield: About 32 bars
~Scissors’ Note~ I cut them into small squares, put them in a zipper bag and freeze. Be sure to let them thaw on a plate for 30 minutes before serving.
