Make an Easy Valance from a Pair of Vintage Hankies

Here is a sweet and simple tutorial utilizing something you may already  have at home: a pair of vintage hankies. 

Simply affix some elastic to the corner of each and hang from hooks decorated with vintage buttons.

Watch British movies on BBC see many ideas for curtains. Using different toppers and lace bottoms

to create 2-3 layers of lace...

Hi Nancy,  I love the British approach to  window dressing and Interior design.  Colefax and Fowler have always been a big inspiration to me.  I don't have any more valance tutorials but I did write a guest post for the Prairie Homestead on making burlap curtains, and another one on no sew window treatments.   I also have one for a dust ruffle that is a little more involved published on my own site here.
