My friend Carey took this photo! These are three week old meat breed chickens. You can see the chickens at a week old on this earlier blog post.
My gentleman was amazing over the weekend, while I was relaxing in New York City, he built an outdoor coop for the chickens to stay in so they can be separate from our laying hens. And even used recycled pallets and fencing. What a guy! Guess I owe him some yummy treats, or maybe I'll just take care of the backyard barnyard for a few days in a row and let him sleep in.

Actually, I just realized that the picture was probably taken at two weeks, the chicks have way more feathers right now...
