HOMEGROWN

Celebrate the culture of agriculture & share skills (Growing! Cooking! Eating!)

This is a true example of  not reading the "small print".  Applegate claims: "Changing the meat we eat"

The labeling says Vegetarian feed, Humanely raised, all natural breaded Chicken patties.  No artificial Ingredients

Well when did SOY become natural?  Just saying'   They feed there chicks soy and use soy for the breading...Fyi people

I've been duped!

Most soy grown in the US is GMO.  By most I mean 91%

"Currently Commercialized GM Crops in the U.S.:
(Number in parentheses represents the estimated percent that is genetically modified.)

Soy (91%)
Cotton (88%)
Canola (80-85%)
Corn (85%)
"

I asked that question, seems the jury's still out on that one.  I assume gmo.  They haven't got back to me.

Maybe I am naive and ill-informed, but how is soy not natural?  It comes from soybeans that are a grown commodity.  I figured that labeling soy as natural was OK as long as it wasn't some sort of freaky gmo bean.
