My Homemade, from scratch, so heavy ya need a crane, Lasagna Recipe.

I guess I am a lot like my Grandparents in the fact that I don't know how to make "just a little" of something when I cook. Some foods are worse that others. For example, the picture you see here is homemade, from scratch, Lasagna. There has to be lots of people around to help eat it or the leftovers go into…

Home Cookin' Recipes....

One of my favorite things to do, besides gardening, is cooking. I love it. I enjoy everything from the planning, the gathering, the preping, the cooking all the way down to the actual eating...lol. My Hubby and I enjoy trying new foods and we both enjoy coming up with our own recipes. We work well together in the kitchen, each of us contributing something to the meal. I am pretty sure that there are other out there that are like us and take great pleasure in cooking. So, I thought that I…

Is It Too Early To Start Chanting...SPRING..SPRING..SPRING!?

I really wanted to do this blog in yellow, but, I was worried about making the folks who took the time to read it go blind. I can't help it...anything I can do to influence the coming of Spring!! Since my last blog, we have gone through a lot of changes in the way we live our life. For those who aren't familiar with us, we were hauling the big Windmill Blades for the towers that are springing up all across the country. We did that for nearly 4 years and the time finally came that we had to…

In Our World Of Change

In our specialized fleet, we run in to a vast spectrum of emotions from the people we meet while hauling these Windmill Blades. We see everything from "The Bird" to the Thumb's Up. The opinions of these incredible machines varies from person to person. The biggest complaint we…

The Sun Shines Somewhere....

I had a Blog all ready in my head that I was going to write. I have a routine of reading the News on Yahoo while I drink my morning coffee. When I am Home (either Vancouver, Washington or Flint, Texas), I don't get on line as much as when I am on the Truck. So, I didn't see the…

Contributions...

As much as I wish I could contribute pictures of our garden or some how-to-do-it information, I just really don't have it to offer. I am here gathering information to help us further our learning. So, the best I can do it to offer what I do have... I have…

North~vs~South.....

As I have said before, I was born and raised in the wonderfully green State of Washington.  I lived there until I was 22. During that time, I explored the area up around Mt.St.Helens. I splunked in the never ending and forever winding Ape Caves. If you…

Looking Forward, Not Back....

There are days, out here on the road, that you just really want to be doing something else. Now, don't get me wrong... I truly love it out here. The places we go, the things we see, and the people we meet. Most of the people that we know, we wouldn't…

Bare Feet and Horse Thieves....

When I was a kid, I lived in the country and was raised "country style". We didn't have PSP, Wii, or computers. We grew up without cable TV, surviving the Friday night Hee-Haw episodes.  We drank water out of garden hoses, rode our bikes without a helmet, and dug our bare toes…

Spring Has Sprung....

I am guessing that Spring has finally sprung. I was really beginning to doubt the sincerity of Spring. It was as if Spring would pop it's pretty little head up out of the harshness of Winter's grasp only to be quickly snuffed out, buried by another foot of snow that seemed to stick around for an…

Dirt In My Veins & Chickens In The Garden

I was born and raised in the beautiful green country of Washington State. I am the daughter of two of the best "Urban Farmers" I know. Where my Folks' house is now, used to be the country. It used to be surrounded by hundreds…

Am I Crazy? Maybe!

Am I Crazy? Maybe! I figure that this is a question that we have all asked ourselves (or been asked!) at some point. At this point, I think it is more entertaining to be crazy than to try and blend in with the "IN" crowd. I've never been one to be "Normal". After all, WHAT is normal these days???

My Husband, Keith, and I…
