Im currently living in a lovely home in LA with great roommates (who love to eat) and a pretty big yard. Seems to me that there is no reason to rely on the supermarket if you apreciate great food, live where the sun never stops shining, have some dirt of your own, and love getting that dirt all over yourself. Since thats where I'm at right now Im trying to learn the alchemy of turning dirt into food. And so far I find it to be simply enchanting. I have no expertise, and nothing really cool to show for the few months of work Ive put into this. My worm farm is less then perfect, my herb garden recently had to be saved from total destruction by pincer bugs, and my chicken is only 5 weeks old, so for now she's just good for playing with. But Ive had nothing but fun trying to learn, and Im here to learn more and more and more!
Latest greatest meal cooked at home:
Made my favorite Spicy Spicy red pasta sauce on the back deck with the camping stove. Fresh tomatoes, garlic, Onion, Peperoncinis and crushed red pepper. Simple Simple. I find myself craving this dish whenever Im hungover.
