My husband and I just moved our small family out of Charlottesville, VA and onto a very small farm where we're attempting to homestead. So far we've got chickens, ducks, guineas, sheep and pigs. And a toddler. Read about the mayhem on my blog, http://redrowfarm.com/.

A Virginia Girl in love with Florida Oranges

I have a confession. I am a citrus junkie living in zone 7. So despite my local-loving ways, I horde OJ like a kid raiding the halloween candy bowl. Even now that we have an apple press and 14 apple trees on the way, meaning my cup will runneth over with that earthy wonderfulness known as cider, I can't start my day without a glass of the orange stuff.

So I already have a farm blog, but as a way of introducing myself, I thought I'd post about it here... http://homegrowed.wordpress.com/.

And yes, I am totally mortified that I chose the name Home Growed for my blog, thinking it would be a clever way to express just how bad I am at farming, while completely unaware that homegrown.org existed. D'oh.
