"Never did find anything... there were some CA farms but nothing in FL that looked real deal.  So it's Whole Foods clementines for me this winter, which is really not all that bad at all.  Just not all that exciting either."

A Virginia Girl in love with Florida Oranges

I have a confession. I am a citrus junkie living in zone 7. So despite my local-loving ways, I horde OJ like a kid raiding the halloween candy bowl. Even now that we have an apple press and 14 apple trees on the way, meaning my cup will runneth over with that earthy wonderfulness known as cider, I can't start my day without a glass of the orange stuff. So what's a girl to do?I've decided the best way to reconcile my beliefs and my breakfast is to find a small-scale, organic (or at least mostly…See More

Meet the newbie!

So I already have a farm blog, but as a way of introducing myself, I thought I'd post about it here... http://homegrowed.wordpress.com/.

And yes, I am totally mortified that I chose the name Home Growed for my blog, thinking it would be a clever way to express just how bad I am at farming, while completely unaware that homegrown.org existed. D'oh.
