Spring has sprung and the bears are out .

There has been lots of signs of spring here .The robins have been here for about a month and now the song birds have shown up ,their beautiful songs wake me in the morning. My friend left a cooler on here deck with a loaf of home baked bread and a box of wine in it, that she couldn't fit in her fridge, she awoke to a smelly deck with muddy footprints all…See More

Rhubarb Wine

Has anyone ever made rhubarb wine? I find myself with 4 gallon size bags of rhubarb and some frozen bags of raspberrys and bluberries in my freezer. I have a few 5 gallon water jugs hanging around. I really would like to brew them up .There all in really good shape . Organically grown .Any ideas would be apreciated.I've never made any wine before.See More

It containes Theobromine ,it's the same stuff in chocolate .Depending on the size of the dog it can kill them.check it out here . www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/cocoamulch.asp I just wanted to pass along.

Hi Jennifer,
Thank you! I'm wondering if you lined your barrels with plastic as I was advised to do. I found it so tricky! It looks beautiful where you live ( I am presuming the pictures are where you live ), how beautiful to live in a rain forest!
