Vicki Roberts replied to Cornelia's discussion 'What skills would you want to include in a HOMEGROWN 101'
"How about a segment on how to make the most out of the space you've got. Most people think you need acres of land, but I own a 1 acre property and on it I have, a five bedroom house, a huge double shed, a chook pen, duck pen, quail pen, rabbit…"

What kind of HOMEGROWN are you?
Earth Mama
A bit about me:
Married with 5 children, though only 2 live at home now. Have an acre of land to play with. Grow our own vegies, fruit. Have our own chickens (meat and eggs), ducks (meat), sheep (for meat) and rabbits (for meat). Would love to have a cow for milk and pigs but council restrictions wont allow that. Loving the fact that I know what goes into my food. My vegies and fruit are chemical free except for the odd splash of derris dust for the cabbage moth. I have 3 certificates in horticulture and am totally fascinated by aquaponics (forces a person to be organic.)
Latest greatest meal cooked at home:
Home grown lamb roast with freshly harvested potatoes and assorted vegies from the garden
Currently reading:
nothing at the moment
Currently listening to:
Lady Antebellum
My latest DIY project:
trying to get an aquaponics set up happening, and also want to build a hot house. (gets cold here in winter)
