We started back in February with 9 left in our layer flock - one roo and 8 ladies.I had to come and get out my frustration. We had the rooster "processed" this morning as he has now attacked both my husband and I. (The lady who did the deed said she had never seen such large spurs on a yearling. O.O)I came home and let the layers out. Only for the fox to show up and nab one of our eldest. This makes four since the end of March. We've been walking the dog and letting her do her business on the…See More

Hi, Tasha. Welcome to HOMEGROWN! My name is Jennifer, and I’m the flock tender here: site updater and tweaker, feeder and waterer of content. I’m so glad you found us! We love getting our HOMEGROWN mitts on moms who love good food. (And yay, Strunk & White!) I hope you’ll turn up plenty of projects and ideas here to spur you on, and I hope you’ll be game for sharing more of your own, too, in The Stew. Elsewhere on HOMEGROWN, you can always find the latest additions to the site at the top of the homepage, and if you’ve ever got a question, please don't hesitate to leave a comment on my profile page or shoot me a message. I hope you feel right at home!
