Self-made country woman with international capabilities.
A bit about me:
I live, write, love, cook with sunshine (and develop solar cookers), and do lots of other things (including serving on the board of an international nonprofit and owning my own tiny fledgling nonprofit) from my home on a ridge in northern Idaho.
Latest greatest meal cooked at home:
It was either the solar stack burrito made from leftover solar Fiesta Pork Stew or the cold turkey sandwiches with the solar quinoa salad.

Currently listening to:
A floor fan. It's very quiet this year with so many fewer birds on our hill.
My latest DIY project:
Need to make poster-board panels to try a 22" model of Sharon Clausson's Copenhagen Light solar cooker.
Hi, Sharon. Welcome to HOMEGROWN! My name is Jennifer, and I'm the flock tender here (site updater and tweaker, feeder and waterer of content).
I’m thrilled that you found us via the solar cooking link, and I’m gonna grab those descriptions of your recent solar-cooked meals and add them to the 101 as soon as I finish typing this message! Please don’t hesitate to add your own comments to the solar cooking 101—as well as anywhere else on the site you’d like to chime in. We rely on the HOMEGROWN community to share knowledge with each other! And if you’d like to post stories of your nonprofit work, our member blog, The Stew, is a great place to do so.
You can always find the latest additions to the site at the very top of the homepage. And if you’ve got questions, you can leave a comment on my profile page or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I’m so glad you found us and hope you feel right at home!
