I'm new around here, and thought I'd introduce myself!
My family and I live in central Virginia. We have had a somewhat successful kitchen garden for the last 3 years or so, growing mostly salad greens, kale, herbs and a few random other veggies. So, we made our first attempt at urban foraging last week. I discovered a crab apple tree near the library, and we went and harvested about half of what was on the tree.
I was able to successfully turn it into crab apple jelly. Delicious!
I'm so into this urban foraging idea, and want to learn more!
