- I think I am somewhere between Earth Mama and 100% Homegrown. While I enjoy growing my own food, I hate weeding the garden! And while I have never lived on a farm, I am dying to get my hands on one!
- A bit about me:
- I am a single mother of three, and in a moment of clarity in my early thirties, I realized that having one grandmother with alzheimer's, and another in her eighties, they would not live forever. So, with tools in hand, and a video camera, I set off to Nana's house, and she taught me, and hopefully a few generations to come, how to can tomatoes. Since then, she has taught me about canning other vegetables, and I have taught her green beans (she said hers never kept!)

- yankee pot roast in a cast iron pot
- Currently reading:
- the school lunch menu. "Uh, excuse me..? Is this REAL food?"
- Currently listening to:

I’m guessing that, with three kids to raise and delicious-sounding pot roasts to cook, you tend to stay pretty busy, but if you ever have a few minutes to spare and want to post photos of your gardening triumphs, don’t be shy! And/or, if you’re game for sharing photos or stories of canning with your nana, I would gently (nudge, nudge) encourage you to do so in our member blog, The Stew.
