Small Farmers

You are not an urban homesteader (or suburban) Your farm is more than an acre and may be hundreds of acres. You grow sustainably. You might have livestock out on grass. You sell what you sow direct to your customers via CSA, farmers markets, etc..See More

Ray T. Goss II replied to Kimberly Ann's discussion 'How does someone take an idea for the community and make it grow?'
"     I'd recommend getting hooked up with Seed Savers Exchange, in Decorah, Iowa.  The members have the best and most varieties of tomato seeds that I know of.  Source them on the internet and give them a call!"

What kind of HOMEGROWN are you?
100% Homegrown
A bit about me:
I am involved in seed saving and educating people how to garden. Helping people understand how much they can grow using raised beds and companion planting techniques in a limited amount of space.I have a love for God and life, believing we all have God given gifts to share. I enjoy every day for it's fulness and divine appointments.
Latest greatest meal cooked at home:
I'm treating some friends to an Easter meal with chicken and ham marinated in an herb blend slow-cooked along with mashed yukon gold "taters" with asparagus, sweet corn and a healthy salad. One of my friends is kicking in fresh baked whole wheat bread and sticky-gooey buns...

Currently listening to:
Alot of newer Christian groups. My alltime favorites are Keith Green and 3rd Day...
My latest DIY project:
Raised beds and trellises made with slabwood from sawmill.
