"We have a great "crop" of pokeweed in our yard right now. I'm leaving it up until the frost for wildlife food... but then it's a goner. Very pretty, but quite invasive. And it's too much trouble for human food."

"if you pick the young leaves and boil them ,rinse boil and rinse and boil and drain they are good eating in the spring. one of the first greens of spring. But they must be boiled several times to remove the poison. once done though they are great…"
