What kind of HOMEGROWN are you?
Cube Farmer, Dirt Under My Fingernails City Slicker
Fill in the blank:
I want to learn all I can about urban farming and how to encorporate "slow foods" in urban society
A bit about me:
I am affixed on researching anything on the homegrown revolution. I am starting a sustainable business that would encorporate urban farming with the sole motive to teach urban youth the how tos of the land, even if in a city setting.
I recently moved out of my studio apartment in New York City and into a 3 1/2 acre home in rural Vermont... I got that "back to the land itch." I've inherited 2 chickens, Lucy & Pepper, and a rooster named Sparky. I also have been granted a huge project of remodeling andtaming a 550 square foot garden.... To be con't....
Latest greatest meal cooked at home:
Spiced strawbery preserves.
BBQ tofu and saute'd miso kale and bok choy over rice noodles
Currently reading:
Mother Earths News and Chickens for Dummies
Currently listening to:
VPR
My latest DIY project:
Nothing definitive right now, but collaborating with friends on recycling and repurposing everyday goods.
Web site I recommend:
