Hi Mary,   Welcome.  I accidentally deleted your comments on the Fiberarts group.  Sounds like you are a pretty active spinner, knitter.  I too knit wool socks (at least a pair a year).  Right now I am working on a summer weight shawlette with some commercial cotton yarn that someone gifted me.  There are some big projects on the horizon, but I need to paint my living room before I take on anything big.  Hope you can make it to one of the festivals in Oregon.  I am always at Oregon Flock and Fiber because I am on the board.  I don't get to Black Sheep too often as I usually go down to Eugene for the Oregon Country Fair (not fiber related).  Good luck with your projects.

We have had some amazingly good weather this year.  Unseasonably warm in April, wet and cold in May (Oregon's normal spring weather).  June so far has been soooo nice.  Best strawberry harvest ever at my house.  I just finished planting the last of my things in the greenhouse yesterday.  Now it is water, water and water.  We are eating lettuce and greenonions and soon will have snowpeas.  Just glad to have it all planted.

Hi, Mary. Welcome to HOMEGROWN. My name is Jennifer, and I'm the flock tender here (site updater and tweaker, feeder and waterer of content). I’m so glad you found us—and I love that you don’t have any non-DIY projects! I hope you’ll find plenty of projects and ideas here to spur you on, and I hope you’ll be game for sharing some of your own, too—some of your recent knitting triumphs, perhaps—in our member blog, The Stew. Elsewhere on HOMEGROWN, you can always find the latest additions to the site at the top of the homepage, and if you’ve ever got questions, please don't hesitate to leave a comment on my profile page or shoot me a message. I hope you feel right at home!

Hi, Mary: I'm so glad you're getting a good vibe. That's what we aim for! And it seems like you're finding your way around just fine, but if you're ever feeling a little too inundated, just yell. That's what I'm here for. Glad to have you here on HOMEGROWN!
