A bit about me:
The more I do for myself and my family, the more I find that we can do for ourselves. We're growing fruits and veggies and have a flock of chickens. I make almost all our food from fresh and local when I don't make it myself. Increased my ability to "put up" excess this summer, and am now learning to make yogurt and cheeses, curing olives and making bread.
Latest greatest meal cooked at home:
Moussaka, mostly homegrown, with homemade bread and limeade from bartered Key limes!
Currently reading:
Gardening When It Counts, Home CheeseMaking
Currently listening to:
my kids grow up!
My latest DIY project:
expanding the beds in the garden and increasing the compost pile!

yup, signed up here a while back based on a link from the homegrownevolution.com website.

Acorn processing goes well. I've gathered well over 200 lbs now, and am still experimenting with techniques for getting it to be a faster/easier process. but I've gotten tricks for getting a flour consistency rather than meal, so things are improving!
