CSA Cookoff: No-Cook Mason Jar Tomato Sauce

"Once I give it the first shake in the jar, i keep it at room temperature no more than 8 hours. I have stored it for 3 days in my fridge. Hope that helps."

A bit about me:: I'm a Southern wife and mom from Georgia and I love to create great meals with fresh ingredients including homegrown veggies. I am the Executive Director of a local, in-school youth mentoring program. I have had awesome mentors in my life and enjoy sharing life, food, and experiences with others. One of my greatest mentoring moments came at about age 9 when my grandma from North Carolina took me out to pick apples ( yes climb up in the tree with ladders), bring them home, peel and cut them with a pairing knife for hours, prepare HOMEMADE pie crusts and finally BAKE and EAT the most delicious pies in the whole world!

My latest DIY project:: Lately, I am collecting bottles in various shapes and sizes for table collages of herbs, flowers, etc. My daughter painted the bottles after striping them with designs using painters tape. They are unique and beautiful.
