I'm a happily married wife and slightly off-kilter mother to two boys, ages 12 and 5. I work full-time as a court reporter, and I'm always looking for new ways to do things myself. We want to get more into gardening and canning, as much as we can in our suburban area.
Latest greatest meal cooked at home:
The last meal I cooked at home was a pot of Dr Pepper taco soup. Tonight it's chicken cordon bleu casserole.

How did you find HOMEGROWN.org?
I found HOMEGROWN.org through the Punk Domestics website.
Hello there, Lisa, and welcome to HOMEGROWN! My name is Jennifer, and I’m the flock tender here: site updater and tweaker, feeder and waterer of our little community. We corresponded *briefly* in November, but I’m only now very slowly working my back through the folks who joined HOMEGROWN in the last month or two to say a belated hello and how glad I am you found us. I hope you’ll turn up plenty of projects and ideas here to spur you on, and I hope you’ll be game for sharing some of your own, too, in our member blog, The Stew. More about how your cheese is coming along, pretty please! Elsewhere on HOMEGROWN, you can always find the latest additions to the site at the top of the homepage, and if you ever need help finding your way around, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment on my profile page or shoot me a message. I hope you feel right at home!
