What kind of HOMEGROWN are you?
Dirt Under My Fingernails City Slicker
A bit about me:
I'm a gardening/native foods teacher at a charter high school here in sunny Tucson. I've lived here for about 8 years with my boyfriend and 2 dogs. We've learned a lot about all the native plants that grow in our area, as food and medicine, and are continuing to learn a lot on how to garden in this arid climate. Oh, and we're expecting our first baby soon, so ya-hoo!
Latest greatest meal cooked at home:
Local, grass fed chuck roast cooked in my solar oven, used to make shredded beef tacos for dinner.
Currently reading:
Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way
Currently listening to:
I've recently discovered a band called, "The Carolina Chocolate Drops." Awesome band!!
My latest DIY project:
Landscaping our yard, planting the winter garden, playing with the compost.
Web site I recommend:

Hey Kyla,

I also live in Tucson, and I have a daughter in 7th grade. What charter high school do you teach at? We'll be looking at high schools before too long!
