Hi, Kevin. Welcome to HOMEGROWN! My name is Jennifer, and I'm the flock tender here (site updater and tweaker, feeder and waterer of content). I’m so glad you found us—although I’m sorry to hear about your latest DIY project! One thing I'd love to hear more about, though, are your mulefoots—and I’m guessing other HOMEGROWN types would, too. I hope you’ll consider sharing stories from your farm in our member blog, The Stew. Elsewhere on HOMEGROWN, you can always find the latest additions to the site at the top of the homepage, and if you’ve ever got questions, please don't hesitate to leave a comment on my profile page or shoot me a message. I hope you feel right at home!

All  is well, in Kansas, Kevin.  I'm a little anxious about moisture now and for spring. Subsoil is dust dry ponds are down 6 - 8 feet.

Thanks for friending me Kevin.  My husband, 4 kids and I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.  We live on 22 acres, and have dabbled with some farm life/livestock, but currently all we have are bees and dogs and cats. :)  We grow a medium sized garden (about 25x40') and do lots of canning/dehydrating/freezing.
