Boston Dirt Day Seedbombing bike tour at Boston and surrounding cities and neighborhoods

It is only appropriate that we celebrate Earth Day in Boston in a HOMEGROWN way. Friday night we'll assemble the seedballs and we bomb on bikes all weekend.

I just ordered seeds for cucumbers, summer squash, peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, broccoli and I plan on planting some herbs once space clears up on my windowsills. I live in an apartment building so I am growing them all in 5 gallon pails in the back…
Can anyone recommend which seeds would work best for a little seed bombing bicycle escapade I may be planning? What works best in crappy soil, traffic medians, vacant lots, etc.?
