What kind of HOMEGROWN are you?
Dirt Under My Fingernails City Slicker
A bit about me:
I just finished digging up most of the front yard and have planted a mini farm on my tiny quarter acre in Austin.
I started tomatoes from seed in my garage and wound up with a hundred plants; made me and my bf very popular with the neighbors at the plant swap.
I play music, cook for and host yoga retreats, work on my house, and make beautiful cowboy boots in Austin.
Latest greatest meal cooked at home:
Braised white beets in a white balsamic reduction, steamed homegrown artichokes with a beurre blanc, grass-fed sirloin, beet greens with carmelized onions and mashed potatoes with fresh chevre. Yum and yum.
Currently reading:
Stiff by Mary Roach
Currently listening to:
old jangly country music, spacey folk, ukulele jazz, mountain music
My latest DIY project:
My whole darn house is a diy project. Gonna get on tiling the kitchen floor with pennies any second now.
