"??? Seems odd to me... I can't imagine why you wouldn't be able to use it... I've heard of cast iron and flat top's not working well together, but even that I've done without trouble. Have you googled this? "

I haven't canned in years and am just starting out again. We were ready to put up pickles and a friend told me I couldn't can using my ceramic top stove (which is a new addition to me). So we are using the camp stove outside. Does anyone have any experience with this type of stove to can with and what is the reason for not using it? See More
