A bit about me:
I am a freak about cooking. I grow a salsa garden and an herb garden. This year I added tomatos! I work as a tour guide at the Birth Place of Rock N Roll'! I Grow, I cook, I Rock!
Latest greatest meal cooked at home:
Oh, I did the Boef Bourginon thing...It was everything my painstaking four hours of labor wanted it to be.. It was everything that every stew you have ever tried was trying to be.. But it is a once every year venture for me. Fussy. Very Fussy.

Southern Food is Trendy..thank goodness :)

I have lived in five major US cities. Memphis, where I live now, is the first BIG southern "city" that I have every lived in. I've noticed that food in Southern cities is generally more influenced by rural culinary traditions than in other region of the country. I recently read an article called "Southern Fried City" in a really great lifestyle magazine called Garden and Gun. It wasn't an article about Memphis or Atlanta..it was about Southern food invading New York… Continue
