Our Garden is in the running to win $25000. And YOU can help!

For those of you who don't know, we are a project organized by students at the Claremont Colleges to operate an organic vegetable garden inside CIW, a women's prison in Chino. The garden is maintained through the collective effort of the women inside and volunteers from across the colleges and surrounding communities.We want to double the size of the garden, and bring in educational speakers for the prisoners! Experiments in Broadcasting

Recently, we tried “broadcasting” for the first time. Broadcasting is a method of sowing seeds where seeds are scattered onto a bed and then mixed in with the soil. It is also the origin of the phrase we use today to mean the distribution of audio or video signals (i.e. a radio broadcast).
