My name is Amy and I likve on a small farm at 9500 feet in the mountains of Colorado. I raise meat and dairy goats as well as pigs, lambs, and chickens for 4-H as well as our own food needs and also grow a garden. I have been married to Jeff for nearly 27 years and after spending 20 of those years roaming the country and world with the United States Army ( of which both of us are Veterens) We found our little piece of paradise here in Colorado. We have one biological son (19) named Samuel and one adopted son (18) named Alexander. I have been raising foster kids for the last 10 years and farm living however small is one of the best things for children with abandonment and behavioal issues.
Latest greatest meal cooked at home:
Ha Ha has been so hot here which I might add is very unusual for this area of Colorado and having to always be ready to evacuate due to all the fires My lastest greatest meal is going to actual be tonight with country ribs from one of our own pigs with potatoes (store bought unfortunatly) and home grown green beans. For the last two weeks it has been sanwiches or anything cold.
Currently listening to:
Country Music of course
My latest DIY project:
So many don't know where to start. Mostly trying to get a fence around my garden. Not because of rabbits or deer but because of my DOGS!!!!!! They love to lay in the cool dirt.
