Nice! Ever thought about filling the block holes with soil, perhaps for strawberries, or companion plants to repel pests like chrysanthemums?

Thank you! Last year I planted marigolds and bush beans in the cinder block holes at the Colusa Community Garden. Several others planted cabbage, carrots (one per hole), strawberries, herbs....the holes add another 1/3 of growing space. This year in the new Home Ranch Garden I will plant bush beans, basil, shallots, lettuces and marigolds...I have to remeber to leave space for me to sit tho!!
