we purchased the barrel with the spigot at a local hardware store for $39.  We popped out the center of the lid and added fine hardware cloth.  That's it.  We have several others that we did too.  You can find food grade barrels on Craigslist for a very reasonable price and the plumbing at your local hardware/plumbing store.  Best of luck!
