Yes, these were foraged! I learned how to forage porcinis this year--this is the only kind I can confidently identify. We've done shiitakes and oysters from kits, with varying degrees of success. What sort of fail did you experience?

Did you forage for these? Drool. I tried growing shitaake and button mushrooms with a sawdust kit a few months ago but it was a fail. One day I hope to have access to fresh mushrooms!
