Migrating Herons 3.11.12

Spring migration seemed to pass straight over our house - here is about the 78th (gaggle?) of what looks like Blue Herons flying in lazy circles (groups of about 100 each).  I first thought there was a gang of pigeons all around me and once I looked high enough it turned out to be wave upon wave of these birds.  March 10th and 11th seemed to be the day Spring hit Chicagoland - saw my first robins of the year too..
