Thank you, Ramona. It's just my husband and me at the home place, but I'm lucky (?) 3 of my 5 kids live within 2 to 5 miles of us. I stayed at home with them until the youngest went to school full time and then had a career in Real Estate...now I'm a stay-at-home grandma and I get to do all of my favorite things AGAIN!

That really is beautiful!!

I am single now and would not have need to can that much, but do hope to can more in the future and have canned lots in the past, like 85 quarts of tomatoes one summer, plus tons of salsas, relishes, jams, perserves, etc.

Oh My! I thought it would be fun to share...I'm flattered by everyone's response...thank you. I really enjoyed every minute of the time I spent growing and/or searching for the produce, the prep work and the actual canning process...I am looking forward to next year...but now I need a nap!
