My hens should be laying in the next week and we're trying to get them to nest in a suitable location - not all over the lawn! How'd you do it? Hope Butterscotch has some great eggs! What variety is she?

What a cutie! Caroline, try putting a few golf balls in a nesting area near where the chickens roost. Maybe a small wooden box lined with hay. I'm only a newbie chicken owner but when we wanted our chickens to start going in the nesting box that's the trick we used.

Thanks, Aliza! It's a great idea -- here's hoping the ladies will figure it out before they start laying!
