How many here use season extension to grow longer into the year. We have been using high tunnels and row covers for the past 15 years and grow almost year round here in the Miami Valley.

What types of vegetables and things are you folks planting this year? Have you been able to get much in the ground yet this spring?

Comment by Rebecca Haughn on June 15, 2011 at 10:46am Hi just joined this group and see that you are asking about garden planting. I have put in some fruting trees and bushes this year and most are doing ok. My Tomatoes, corn, popcorn, watermelon, cantelope and chard, sweet potatoes and herbs are going well too. Have some things to get in but the time sensitive ones are in and doing well. Been really cool for us her just South of Cedar Point. 1 county down we still get some lake breezes here. Supposed to be partly cloudy today but so far is it fair and sunny. Good luck to all on their gardens.
