HOMEGROWN celebrates the imaginative, passionate people living HOMEGROWN

HOMEGROWN is curating the food, growing, cookin' part of the GOOD December DIY Local Fair and would love to see you there. Any connections you may have to local producers would be most appreciated. Stay tuned for details.

GOOD December is a pop-up community center that offers a different take on the holiday season.
GOOD December celebrates the season by inviting creative community members to curate
an event, learn about innovative products, share projects, connect with non-profit partners and
one another.
GOOD December provides a home base to party, learn, relax, reflect and connect on both the
humanitarian and social spirit of the season. Two straight weeks of musical performances,
parties, panel discussions, presentations, installations, DIY activities and bi-coastal web
chat make this the perfect place to connect with, give back to, and showcase your affiliation with
GOOD people and things.

Thanks for your interest ladies! I'm waiting for a link from the GOOD folks - should be coming later today, I hope. It will link to a calendar of all events for the 18 days of GOOD December. I'm flying in for the first weekend - the DIY Local Fair - where Tara from Silver Lake Farms will be selling what she growns and teaching what she knows, and Taylor Arneson, the guerilla gardener, will be teaching about and selling seedballs.
Monday, December 15th, a lunchtime HOMEGROWN series of skillshares: Erik Knudsen from Homegrown Evolution will be teaching a breadmaking demo, Tara will be doing an organic gardening and seed sowing workshop.
More tba. If you know any local makers or producers who would like to participate in the DIY Local Fair, please send them my way! (cornelia-at-farmaid.org) We are specifically looking for food makers (cheese, honey, kombucha, whathaveyou). I've had a hard time finding folks from Boston. The people I have been speaking to are farmers who are already booked with farmers markets on the weekend - which is great!

Would anyone be interested in getting a bite to eat after one of the Local World's Fair days? Saturday after 5 or Sunday after 5? It would be so cool to connect offline (that is the ultimate the intent of HOMEGROWN.org)
