I can never find skirts I like, or that fit, in stores. I also like my skirts flowing and long, which is never in style. Even thrift stores leave me empty handed in good finds. You see, I have a smaller waist to hip ratio and I am a bigger lady. Not to mention, I have a lot of cloth to burn through.
I stumbled across this pattern. It's very easy and you do not need to make a paper tracing of it in order to make it. You just need math and simple measuring. If you are more skilled, you can alter it to be longer or take off a layer to make it shorter.
So, tell me some other cool skirt patterns that you have found! I would also like pictures of completed projects!
Nice! And looks easy enough even for me to make!
I'm forever looking for maxi dresses that will accommodate an expanding preggers belly, but this one is intimidating to me for some reason.
Oh man, this site (*You linked) is one of my favorites!! I need to make me up three or four skirts. I get so tired of wearing work pants all the time, and I only have one pair of overalls! I was looking for a pattern I liked and am glad you reminded me of this site.
I'll try and get something going and send you pics.
I was just thinking that I should make a nice flowing skirt for summer. Thanks for the patterns.

I have a great pair of army pants I found at a second hand store. I'd love to make them into a skirt. My idea is to place a panel where the leg seems are. Any suggestion, or has anyone tried this before?
