HOMEGROWN

Celebrate the culture of agriculture & share skills (Growing! Cooking! Eating!)

We've had such a miserable season this year in Eastern Ontario that we're thinking about going for a second bite at the apple.

I think one of our problems, first time around, was that we used llama poop for our fertilizer (... we live on a llama farm), and we got some massive weeds. Fred (husband) has had an epiphany that he should have waited for the weeds to come up first, dug them under, and THEN planted our seeds.

In any event, we're not sure we'll have enough time to get off a second crop (... as if we had a first crop...), but we're thinking of trying spinach and green beans for sure.

Thoughts? Suggestions?
